Who do you support? Who means most to you?

Posted this in another forum and interested in your thoughts too. Cuz I plan on winning tonight!!

Let's say you came into some substantial money. No I didn't but I'm just dreamin'. After all there is $50 million up for grabs tonight and I've got my ticket!

In light of all the crap going down lately there are lots of us who support lots of highly necessary associations NFA, CSSA, etc. and for good reason!
Now let's say you wanted to support substantially either through financial means or effort some outdoor related organizations, associations, causes, etc. Could be conservation, hunter education, boys/girl scouts, RMEF, DUC, TUC, local fish/game clubs, nations, internations, etc. Anything outdoors!

Who is your top 3? Or more is you care to share more... Who is the most impactful to you?

By 8:00 PM tonight I'm gonna have an extra $50 mil so who do I share it with? Besides the many, many retails on here that will be sending me Christmas cards this year!
 
I'd dump it into a Swiss annuity, and create an ongoing grant from the interest payments for a few orgs. 3.7-5 mill a year can do a lot of good work with plenty left over to play with. Probably more money for research for Lott and Mauser as well.
 
I'd buy a bunch of great habitat properties and donate them to a conservation group that permits access for hunters. I'd get a nifty eco-gift tax write off plus do a good thing for hunters and wildlife.
 
Most or all the money I would donate to "Feed the Children Program." Many children in Canada go to school with empty bellies and no lunch.....sad that this is in our own country. Wildlife and hunters will be taking a back seat on this one, I now my priorities.
 
The outdoor organizations I would support would be Ducks and SCI, just because I support their conservation efforts. As far as NGO's go I would have to do a lot of research into them to see which ones actually direct their funds to the needy. You're probably better off supporting your local food banks, soup kitchens and Sally Ann as giving to the big NGO's. Agencies like the United Way usually spend more money on themselves than on the needy.
 
The Plan is a good outfit as administration costs are minimal (directors are volunteers). Covenant House feeds homeless kids. Two good organizations that funnel most funds where they belong.
