Fairly simple to check your chamber’s actual maximum brass length. Resize and trim a case extra short. Cut a slice off the mouth. Insert a bullet in the case. Add the slice to the bullet. Chamber the modified case/bullet. Seat the bullet deeper until you can close the bolt. This will show your maximum brass length for your chamber.You can buy the little caliber specific plugs to check your actual maximum brass length. Most of the "maximum brass length" SAAMI numbers are much shorter than what a chamber allows.
