I have one inbound. I have heard a few good things about them, mainly that they are cheap (my reason for buying) and reliable, but does anyone else have any good/bad news on these guns?

Yup, good gun. Great value for the money. Bought mine on sale for $250 + gst.

Can't beat the chrome bbls for durability, the wood on mine is quite nice and is being made nicer every time I clean the gun. I keep on rubbing more oil into the stock and it is bringing out the grain quite nicely.

If you want to know how the perform in the field, contact my buddy 'ohotnik' on this site. He has been going for waterfowl with this gun like every weekend sonce opening day... He also shoot skeet & trap so he can give you a better point of view.

I just bought it cause I wanted an O/U in my collection. However I am getting really pumped about trying duck hunting.

Cheers,

Alex

The difference between them is that the 34R has extractors while the 34ER has ejectors. I just love my 34ER, especially for what I paid for her !!!!

Just for fun :) here is a pic of my hunting group.

The TOZ is on the left.... duh... LOL

Anyhow, the flash did not 'light up' the stock too well on this picture but you get the idea. Nice wood stock for the price. Not to mention all the metal bits too ;)

Not sure if beech is offered? I am in the firm belief that my gun is walnut.
I guess beech would be lighter unless there is a dark stain on it...

also walnut is the classic wood for gun stocks (IMHO)

Looks like walnut in the pics. I was searching on the web and see them in beech and walnut.....ARMRUS only describes them as walnut though.

I'm a bit confused about the ejectors.
One is automatic, which means when you break the gun open it ejects the shells, correct? Which model is this?

The other one doesn't and you have to manually remove the shells?

Does either gun come with removable chokes or are they fixed chokes?

Ok thank you.

As I am not familar with under and over shotguns, is one type of extraction considered better? Just wondering what the pros and cons of the two types are.

I believe the difference is that one ejects the shells wheter they are full (live) and the other only ejects spent shells.

I ended up picking a pair of 34ER in trade a while back... nice gun! The fit is much better then I expected. A bit of linseed oil on the stock goes a long way.

I parterned mine at 20yards... the modified (which I thought was closer to a full) was centered on the point of aim. The FULL, was shooting 4"-5" higher. Using some Federal value pack #6 and Winchester AA #9, the paterns nice and round.

I wish Armrus would stop his sale... I will need to eventualy sell one, but eventhought $200 for a O/U is a good deal, $250 for a new one is not that much more... Ho well:redface:

I think they will have to soon. They must be running low on them. Just about everyone I know has bought one. Except for me
