Just bought a CZ 75 SP-01 PHANTOM.
Should have it sometime next week. :D
Just wondering how you like it and if you have had any problems.
I was told that there are only ten in Canada.

Nah, you were told wrong. I've seen two at the range (of which I bought one) and I know P&D has at least one (and they just got that order in, maybe a month ago, so I'm sure they go more than one). I liked it, but the felt recoil was a lot bigger than the all metal shadow and bigger even than the regular 75. It is 30% lighter than a shadow or tactical, but that 30% feels like alot so it makes the gun comfortable. A good target shooter if you can handle that felt recoil (I felt it even more than my M&P, can't explain that). I thought the trigger was pretty nice too, although too heavy in DA, so a trigger job may be warranted.

I was told the same thing by my local dealer when I was looking at a CZ last week, I specifically asked if this was available and he said he would look into it. He called the Distributor and they told him the same thing about this one, only 10 in Canada right now. I have not shot it or even held it, but it is a nice looking gun. Good buy congrats.

If there are only ten in Canada.. then Ive personally screwed around with 6 or 7 of them myself.... so I think that's a lie..

The Phantom is just a downgraded version of Shadow.. doesn't have the balanced weight or as good of feel either... Like Contondant said, your going to feel more recoil when you sacrifice the weight of the metal frame, and the trigger pull isn't as tuned but the ergonomics of the gun is pretty close to its metal counterpart. I think you will be happy with the pistol.

Most people buy CZs because they are basically the cheapest steel frame guns out there (other than Norinco). There's no shortage of polymer-frame guns in the same price range, so I doubt the Phantom will be a big seller.

I liked the thing, don't get me wrong. But I like my Shadow better. If I had to carry one around all day, though, it would be the Phantom. The regular SP-01 (tactical, shadow, etc) is a heavy, heavy gun. Good for target shooting, but probably not the best fighting gun (as if I know anything about that.)

First maker that ever spit 9 of 10 onto a pie plate @ 100 meters for me, elbows only, and without a work up for my home cast , and sized lead heads. Cal .45 acp for those wondering.
I can shoot , yes,:D:p but if you start something as a child, and go thru life without getting any better, that would suck eh!?:)
That pistol looks like its designed to be sans bark, and would allow many repeat shots in the same place, even without sights, which is the way to combat shoot.:dancingbanana:;)

:D Tell me about it... At my last shoot last Sun I lost front sight at 3rd stage after first 3 targets... finished the stage without front sight :D and not too shabby either..

Got a new one just before stage 4.... fun fun fun...
