Who has 20" AR's???

Why not just ask Arms East to special order you the stag item you want. Do they not do this for customers? Alternatively you could have ATRS build you one. IRUNGUNS would be another option. You could also buy your barrel or complete upper from Brownells. I'm waiting for a 24" barrel for an upper in 204 ruger I'm building. Just takes 10 minutes to fill in the paperwork and send off to Brownells to properly export/import the item(s). There is a great tutorial in legalese for importing from Brownells.

I would prefer not to piece one togeather but I'm not opposed to it completely. I just purchased a bunch of M14 specific tools, not looking to buy more for the AR15 right now. I just want a 20" because it's what I'm issued. I would like a shorter one but why get used to somthing else.

I'm surprised about the NEA DMR locking lugs. I'm fairly certian they don't make their own bolts so it would be interesting to see where they source them from. It's one of those things where you generally only hear about the bad and never the good as far as I can tell...they say a happy customer tells no one about how happy he is but an unhappy customer will go out of their way to tell everyone about how unhappy they are.

I had to piece mine together as noone even had close to an M16A1 style rifle for sale complete.

It's also a lot cheaper if you have the patience to do it.

You would be amazed at how many parts for this rifle are out there. Seems like everyone who owns at least one AR15 has a tupperware container full of parts stored somewhere. I know I do lol
