I was in P&D in Edmonton yesterday, and they have lots of American Eagle for $225/500, which is $.45 per round.

50 cents a shot is the current reality, until Canada Ammo comes through with something better.

thanks guys i guess i`ll have to bite the bullet on this one, should have bought some when i went mississippi last month.

NO, you shouldn't have, really. (unless you were going to export it through a US exporter and have both US and Canadian permits)

If you get caught EXPORTING it from the US, 50 cents a round will sound REALLY cheap. (compared to having a confiscated car, legal bills, walking home, and a lifetime ban on entering the US)

Hmmmm,..Correct me if I'm wrong but there is an amount of ammuniton that you can legally bring back with you...If memory serves correctly it's 2K to 5K I think?Where's Abman when I need him?...

We, as Canadians can legally bring it back (according to our law) but the US wont let us take it out of the country.

well i don`t want to get into the specifics of how i would have brought it back, i was on exercise and the only place i got to check out was gander outfitting and they didn`t have any deals on ammo.

Just a thought If it is such a 'taboo' to acquire as an ' alien why does 'Homeland Security' 'ATF' not have warning signs at places where you can purchase ammo from retailers throughout the states, they have 0 problems posting legal drinking ages of 21 everywhere they sell booze ????????

why not reload your own?

Components are just as scarce as loaded ammo. Then you have to factor in your time and the cost of the press. Lets not forget, you screw up a reload and grenade your rifle, you spend your nights crying. You blow up your rifle with factory and you stand a fair chance of getting a new one courtesy of the ammo company. The risk with factory is much reduced compared to home loads.

Why don't you try it and then ask them when they are plumbing your bum.

At the same time, why don't you ask them where the "don't steal" and "don't murder" warning signs are?

Don't break the law. Be aware and Don't break the law. It's that simple.

bought a case of ss109 from a board member for 425$ shipped best price i could find, i will start reloading eventually but probably just pistol rounds to start this is an expensive hobby.
