I was also looking at this pistol.
From my research this is what I have been told.
Like any semi-auto they can have some FTF out of the box.
They are mild recoiling because of double spring system.
Fit smaller hands better than larger ones.
They are accurate.
Fit and finish is excellent....comparible to much higher priced 1911's.
There are alot of dealers of them in Canada
Freedom Ventures, Armco, Phoenix guns, and SmokingGunFx to name a few.

Last year I bought Targetmaster in 9 mm to use it in metro leaque as a centrefire gun. What I added the only grip with finger grooves. The best result in one-hand shooting was 552 out of 600 and I feel Ill improve it on next year.The only mulfunction I had that sometime slide doesn't stay open when 115 gr JHP being used. After two months of shooting STI it took me a while to accomodate back to HK and CZ. What I'd like to see fixed in this gun - ambi mag release.
Now I'm waiting for Ranger II. 9 mm as well. Report will follow to those who interested.

Open Nationals --- STI guns were shot by 65.8%
Limited Nationals –STI guns were shot by 61.2%
LIM-10 Nationals –STI guns were shot by 30.5%
(LIM-10 # is 3X second highest manufacturer)
I have 2 STI edges, and put a good chunk of lead down range with a buddies; 9mm Trojan. STI's quality acorss the board is far above that of any mass produced gun. Both my Edges have well over 15,000 rounds thru them and you'll have a hell of a time finding a gun from the big name factories with a better fit to them.
