Hi was wondering who has their loading bench up in the garage?
I did it with mine but wondering if your equipment rusts in there?
How bout powder getting damp etc.

No problem in my first house...

2 months in my parents place and yes... quite a bit of rust...

Just cleaned up the rust and left the parts on my bench in the garage... will see if they start to rust again.

I haev mine in the garage, but I keep the powder inside in my basement. I have a little room off my rec room where i store my rifles etc. I haven't had any rust problems but it's pretty dry up here.

I have mine set up in the garage, no issues with rust at all, been there for 6 months......my powder I keep in a locked wooden box in the garage also, so far so good, keep it sealed in orginal package, and I got one of those moisture eaters to stick on one of the walls of the storage box.

I use it regularly, and do put some oil/grease on the press, to keep it good.

The garage is the only place I have room and a good sturdy bench to mount a press. So sizing/decapping occur out there, year round.

Everything else happens in my den

I also reload in my garage. Its fortunatly heated and insulated. No problems with rust and I store powder in a locker in the garage. Works out good and I can get it out of the house so the wife doesnt complain about the space ;)

Turns out my parents have a bathroom vent (from where everyone takes a shower) running into the garage.

Right behind a work bench...

The work bench where I temporarily installed my press.

Ah well. Replacing the parts and moving on.

No problems yet in the new place.

Yes, now that I am loading shotshells for trap, everything, even the my rifle reloading stuff is now stationed in the garage. Its ok I have a cool setup.

In Saskatchewan we usually have no problems with humidity - last couple of years we have had significantly more rain and the humidity has been higher.

I have been set up in the garage for awhile and no problems on any of my three presses or my dies. I heat the garage intermittantly when I use it. You should have no problems. Especially if it stays dry like it is now.
