who has glock 17 barrel for lead in stock?

I've never heard of this. Pardon my ignorance but is the problem that you shoot cast lead projectiles and it builds up in your rifling? And these barrels aren't supposed to do that?

Glock factory barrels have polygonal rifling that gets plugged with lead

Shooting lead projectiles in a Glock is not recommended by Glock due to the leading issue with polyagonal barrels, and will void your warranty, as will shooting any reloaded ammunition.

Did anyone ever try a load, that leaded in the glock OEM barrel, and didnt lead in one of those aftermarket rifled barrels?
Just not really wanting to waste another 300$... but if it worked it would be worth it.

Well, Glock and other manf(with poly rifling) can say what they want about their product as they know best(according to them). I can tell u that if you actually clean your gun you wont have a problem. I have been shooting thousands of rounds of lead thru Glocks(as have numerous other shooters) since 1990 BUT I also check to ensure lead isnt building up during the sessions. Thoroughly clean the gun every time after shooting and every few hundred rounds. If you are concerned, then a barrel with conventional rifling will put your mind at ease but the choice is yours. Now, just because I shoot lead and many others do as well doesnt mean its fine for you. That is a decision only you can make and if you are one of those folks who dont clean their gun, then get another barrel.

Is there a reason why all canadian companies kind of suck at answering emails?
I have asked 2 online stores (that showed it in stock) if they had the barrels in stock and how much it would be to ship, a few days ago, no replies.

Wtf, and I even called sportheque that said they had one in stock on their website, phone disconnected 3 times, had to call 5 times between 9 and 10 to get them to answer, and they sounded like they were 2 completely stone potheads.
After checking downstairs for 5 minutes, they didn'T have any left, and couldnt explain why it showed in stock online. And, the guy found it kind of funny that I had to call 3 times because the phone kept bugging. You bet I'm not buying there.

Seriously? Wtf. I can't buy an aftermarket glock 17 barrel in canada? I'm just about to say screw that and import from the us.

I shoot 99% cast lead bullets in my Glock (40S&W).

I have a cleaning rod with a stainless steel brush (Brownells). After each range session, each pistol gets about 4 strokes of the brush as it goes from my range bag to the locker.

With any pistol, a bit of lead comes out and the barrel is left clean, with almost no work.

I have not noted that the Glock picks up any more lead than any other pistol. If I shot 1000 rounds before cleaning, I might see a difference, but I typically shoot about 100 rounds per session. All guns clean up perfectly, including the Glock.

Instead of a $300 barrel, ask Brownells for a $3.00 brush.

It removes the lead much better than a bronze brush?
Do you go over bore like with bronze? I brush the lead off in my 9 with a 40 cal brush. Works much better.

Bronze brush works fine, if you find a load that leads fast the stainless brush will just remove it faster. Frankly, most cast bullets with good lube leave little to no leading in glock barrels. If you experiment with different casters, you will find a bullet you can shoot all day and have no build up in your barrel. Buy a second barrel if you want to, but don't feel you have to. If you just worried about warranty shooting reloads voids it anyways, so what the hay, <shrug> I've seen 500+ rounds go thru a glock barrel with 0 leading.

Hey seriously its been 2-4 working days and none of the 2 businesses replied to my email.
They have customers wanting to buy and they don't even bother to reply.
That's bad.

I guess, and i'm a bit pissed that I cannot buy a premium aftermarket barrel for my glock anywhere.
From what i have read i dont trust lone wolf and storm lake to be premium. Im looking at other options.
