For North American ammo, its Remington UMC @ SFRC for me. I live close so shipping is cheap - 200 rounds for 79.99. Their shipping times arent the greatest though, took almost a week to ship. Everywhere else is usually the next day.

I know that you said American, but nothing wrong with the Norinco stuff for a whole lot cheaper. Brass is great for reloading. Other than that, I have noticed that a couple of site sponsors are starting to get American Eagle again - but for a whole lot more money.

My norc hasn't been that great. Lots of popped primers and a few split cases. Once i upgrade my norc AR to a DD i'll be running AE and reloads pretty much exclusively.
