Who has the nicest hunting rifles

Im looking to buy a nice (pretty) hunting rifle in 300 WinMag.
Up to this point i have mostly used synthetic rifles, but i am starting to develop a real appreciation for a nice wood stock with nice wood and checkering.
I have found some ofthe ruger to be pretty nice.
So who has hghest quality stock hunting rifle (non-custom).
Thanks

Your right about the rugers, some of those units have had the best wood for years in that price range. I would also check Kimber, and the new Winchesters that are coming out in spring/summer. The best value may be the new CDLs, but for me I would skip the laminates if you want a classic beauty.

Blaser's are nice?

I do not like te laminate. I prefer the old school style.
Real wood with real craftsmanship. I am willing to spend upto 2K. But im realymore intersted in the 800-1600 range.
Thanks

You like old world, the go with a CZ 550 Med (Standard) in 300 win mag, Special order with a stock XX fancy wood upgrade with some engraving. $899 list for the std model probably cost $1299 by the time the special order gets in.

or go with the Standard model, get a set of detachable Warne rings and some good optics on board.

Just a thought.

savage nicer then an = priced browning the high end savage cost as much as the bottom ent browning... some swear by brownings however i have seen a 30-06 savage fired with a barrel obstruction and the barrel was stil intact and the action was still operable and it was aired on national tv

if you put a 600 dollar svage and a 600 dollar browoning and aksed a person who knows nothing about fire arms which one costs more and is the hire end guns they'll say the savage oh yeah the savage i am talking about is in my sig it comes in a 300 win mag the 30 06 is plenty more then most hunters need

Love the Savage Euro, but I really like the look of a Mannlicher stock...

Perhaps a CZ 550 FS or Remington Model 7MS. I'm sure there are others, but something about the Mannlicher that has always caught my eye..

I like the Kimber Super Am. but doesn't qualify because I think they are $2600, most of the Euro guns mentioned don't qualify either as they are over $2K. The TC ICON is nice but only comes in short cals......which leaves two of the best guns for the money the Ruger 77 or the Ruger #1(which has nicer wood)and the Remington 700.
