I read an article that they're so inundated with gophers, they want to revise legislation to be able to use strychnine again. I want to help them out with a more 'discriminating' technique. Anybody know of any farmers that way who would like some help controlling gophers this spring?
 
Or hit one of the local coffee shops around about 10 in the morning or so on a Saturday. You at least get your ear talked off till 11 and may find a good spot to boot.

Do not forget the hardware store that's generally a good one to.
 
I've always just done the drive and knock approach. you see a field with a good shooting zone, find the farmer and ask. I've never been turned down. I've been offered money, drinks and ammo. they're more than happy to let you in.
 
I don't know about Morton but I have relative in the Baldur-Cartwright area who are having a gopher problem. If you want some contact #s sent me a pm & I will get you some names & #s.
 
Probably could find a few farms if you were to spend an hour or two at Viva's resturant in Boissevain.
 
The brother in law met a guy in Cabelas that all but begged him to come out and shoot on his property. The guy said he had an add in the Brandon paper all last year with no responses?!?
 
If anyone within a couple of hours of Winnipeg need gophers shot I will gladly do my part when the time comes. I'll just need directions.
