So,

long story short... my Benelli is a paper weight until I can get a new 'Recoil Tube' for it (new style).

I have examined my options... I know that I can get one imported but it will take time (close to 1 month).

Any chance any shop in Canada might have one in stock?
Who is Canada repairs Benelli's :)

Keeping my fingers crossed someone on this forum knows someone :)

Did you try Russells? I notice in their catalog that it was listed. DOnt know if they have them in stock. I hope you get one.

You'd have better luck winning the 6/49 so if you do find the tube buy yourself a ticket as well

And since I made the suggestion, send some $$$ my way when you win

:D You should contact Stoeger. But, they won't sell to you but will refer a dealer near you. I don't know of ANYONE that stocks parts for a Benneli! My Nova was used several times by Tom Knapp for his shows in Canada. I ordered it with the recoil reducer. He doubled up my mag (extended) spring for his shows. I use the extended Nova as backup on driven pheasant shoots when many rentalsl are out!

Jeff at Sure Cycle is a pleasure to deal with and offers excellent customer service. He ships to Canada often and will ship it up fast if you explain to him that you're in the middle of the season.

Thanks for links guys!
I've ordered a replacement for the time being :)

That SureCycle looks really interesting though - might consider it as well (especially with the service to Canada.) I could always keep the one that comes as a backup.

You guys wanna guess how it broke?
hahah... yeah, trying to remove it from the receiver... what a pain.

I managed to "ding" the receiver too in the process :(

~Cheers

What did I learn?

1. If ever you need to remove one... use a propane torch and go from the inside of the receiver, out (i.e. remove trigger + bolt, then direct the torch directly onto the threaded portion of the tube from inside the receiver - 1" down as is in the instructions didn't do anything for me.)

2. CD Marker pens are excellent at touching up scratches on aluminum receivers with black finishes.

try Saskatoon gun works, their a Benelli dealer and gunsmith shop. They arn't on line but thr phone works ..... most of the time.
