Who is actually running optics (red dot) on their pistols?

Update:

I just picked up a dual-illuminated RMR with 9 MOA amber dot from Calgary Shooting Centre last night. I was sold on the auto adjusting nature of the finer optic/ tritium system plus no need to ever change batteries. On top of that, the dot in the dual illuminated models just looks crisper at ATMs length that the LED models. At least to my eyes.

The durability of the DI model was also a selling point for me. No electronics and no battery means that there is really very little that can ever go wrong. Replacing the tritium insert every 10 or so years is a small price to pay for this kind of rugged durability. Thanks for the suggestion!

How did you mount it. Did you have to make any mods to your slide?
 
Here is one I just got back from Casey at Tac-Ord. Supplied him with a used gun a used set of sights and had him mill out the slide for the RMR. Ended up going with the RM07 with a 6.5moa dot. Liking it so far, I had an S&W M&P CORE pistol not that long ago and liked it a bunch to but just prefer the Glock platform. I shoot Open division in IPSC and find the dot a whole bunch easier to find. It tracks nice and should be a blast at some steel shoots. Stippling and ports were done by myself.

Where did you get your Trijicon RM07?
 
Ordered m&p core 9mm on Friday and its in the post already. I was going to go for DP but i think i will spend a little more and get the RMR 7moa.
 
Nice! And good choice on the RMR. Having looked at all three dot colours (red, green and amber), I definitely recommend the amber dot. I find it picks up quicker in all lighting conditions than either red or green; but that could just be my eyes. You may want to try looking through each before deciding if you can.

I will go for amber, now to find someone who has it in stock.
 
Give Calgary Shooting Centre a call if you can. I know they had just gotten a Trijicon order in when I bought mine last week and had a fairly good selection of RMRs in stock.

RM04 7MOA RMR, found the last one at sporteque. 529.99 + tax + shipping.

The 7MOA is a strange one, i spent a 5 days looking for one and they ranged from 529 to 710 which is a huge difference. Most sat round 650 mark.
 
I zeroed at 10 yard, 5 shots all with in inch some touching. 15 yards and it opened up to 3-4 inches, and at 25 yard i shot 5 rounds and only 1 hit.

all done from bench with rest.

This is going to take a lot of practice but im going to stick with it.

It shows you how much you move when using a rmr, you think your hand is steady but that dot sure jumps around.
