So, it seems there is a lot of confusion about what guns we are allowed to carry during an open season for small game and an overlapping rifle season for big game in Ontario.
For me my combination gun (30-06/12ga) would be the perfect tool to go out for a walk and hunt moose and grouse at the same time. I just love still hunting and stalking .... On a couple of occasions while hunting grouse, I was able to get very close to a moose (within 15 meters) .... but I did not have a license or the required ammo on me.

And I am talking here about an open small game season and an open rifle season for large game, and having of course a license for both.
In Ontario!
I am not talking about bow season!
So, I am wondering .... are any of you using a combination gun or a drilling in Ontario? If yes, in what scenarios .... what game ... what caliber ...
What do you load? I mean ... a shotgun barrel is just so versatile .... and will accept birsdhot, buckshot and slugs ....
You can even chamber a Hammond Game Getter or a mouse fart load in the centre-fire barrel if you want ... or use a chamber adapter to shoot 32ACP for example.
Any issues with the conversation officers and the legalities?
Share your stories and setup if you are hunting with a drilling/combination gun in Ontario. If you have .... share pictures ... even better.
And I am looking for first hand experiences .... and not some armchair theoretical analysis ....
