Who is this?

James L. Clark is also the author of "The Great Arc of the Wild Sheep", an excellent accounting of the wild sheep species from North American desert bighorns in the south, north through the thin horn sheep species, across to the NE Russian/Asiatic bighorns and sweeping southwest through the ranges of the Argalis and Urials to the Mouflon on the Middle East. It's a book well worth reading and owning.
I've had a copy of that book sitting on a shelf for decades. I didn't realize who the author was...I have also long admired the wildlife dioramas in the AMNH, which I now have learned he was largely responsible for completing after Carl Akeley's death.

Apparently, he liked "camels" too. I just noticed him in this cigarette ad on the back page of an Outdoor Life magazine from July 1936.
