Who made the Eaton' model 10 single shot?

I bought one of these at a gun show because it had no bolt and therefore was going for almost nothing. In decent shape too. I thought I would look for the correct bolt and have myself a bargain. But I will be damned if I can get started on a search for the bolt as I am stymied by who made this gun. No makers name anywhere (just the Eaton's brand name TruLine) and no country of origin. Can it have been made in Canada? It is a remarkably simple gun. The sear and trigger are all one stamping. The safety is a band of flat steel circling the receiver with a tab sticking out. The tab pushes straight down or is lifted straight up to operate the safety. A single convoluted spring contacts and operates the trigger/sear and safety. That is it, three parts.

There may be one clue. There is a small stamp on the barrel just forward of the receiver. It looks like a hollow four pointed star with dome over it. Not unlike a line drawing of a an air gun pellet. Would much appreciate a resolution to this mystery.

Excellent, thank you tiriaq!
But I see that finding a bolt is going to be unlikely. Interesting to note NAACO was a Canadian maker based in Toronto. I see they developed a prototype .45 auto magnum handgun for the Canadian Army. Went the way of the Avro Arrow unfortunately. They seem to have sold the same rifle under their own name as the Grizzly model 10 (found a youtube video) as well as a 12 ga shotgun model named the Mallard. No one is sure of the dates though they agree the company was not long lived. All very interesting, makes me want to find some more about them.

Eaton's TruLine, right? We have one complete. I have a repeater at home that I am still looking for a magazine. I sent a bolt to a fellow in BC about a year ago.

Yes, stamped TruLine on the barrel and has a red sticker on the but plate with TruLine. I have a single shot model 10. Your magazine version must be the model 20?

I think there's a rifle listed in the exchange...in the rim fire section. Not sure if it's like yours though

"NAACO Grizzly No 20 - seldom seen!Won't come by these often let alone the condition of this one. Beautiful walnut stock and includes 1 mag. $225 PM for further info or pictures."

Thanks, I got him to send me some pictures. Nice shooter apparently, and he has refinished it. Also found Numrich lists parts for a NAACO model 10, 20, 30 and 40 rifle. Parts for the 10 look like the parts on my model 10, so I am inclined now to think there may have been a couple of really rare models of this gun. I mean there were not many 10's or 20's, but must have been even fewer 30's and 40's if they exist.
