Hey guys first purchase to try the long range game, bought a used t3 sporter in 308,used harris bipod, buris base and 30 mill signature rings for now, picked up a black hawk 3 x 15 x 50,ffp,smoken deal to go out and stretch this thing out,
My question is who makes a 20 mo rail that will just bolt right on a tikka sporter.Or do I need one to shoot out to 600 to 800 yards, some day to 1000.
Burris rings did come with 10+ and 10- inserts, can these be used to get another 20 mo from the setup.
Thanks for the help.:dancingbanana:

MDT makes one and they are Canadian I put one on my Tikka T3 sporter in .223 they are 49.99 1 604 -393-0800
Or just do a google search for them They also do Chassis systems

I bought a Tally 20 moa rail for my Tikka, it was around $70. Tally make quality stuff that isnt over kill.

Burris Signature rings are meant for a weaver base are they not? The cross bolt may not be wide enough to properly fit in the picatinny slot.

Cheers!!

I just got one from ATRS and also have a NEAR. There are features I like on both and features (or lack there of) that I don't like on each. Near advantage is the recoil pin, takes all the recoil away from the screws and I like that system, disadvantage is the four slots that also have the mounting screws are useless because the screws stick up too high, can't put a scope ring in there. ATRS I like because all slots are accessible for your rings, but it is missing the recoil pin. Take my thoughts for what they are worth, I think both are good.

I have a atrs rail. Even tough it's doesn't have a recoil plug I used bedding compound to fill the hole and to secure it to the bottom off the rail . To this day if you take the rail off its sill all one part .
