i see most 22s are 1:16 twist. Is anyone making factory rifles with a faster twist? Or they have to be ordered custom, case which it is better to be on a 10/22 so one can change the bbl himself?

I think some of the Anschutz barrels are 1:14, but I may be wrong.
Ron Smith built a few gain twist barrels for the guys when BR50 was big in Alberta, you may want to give him a call.
Be warned however, you won't be paying the same price as you would for a Butler creek or green Mountain!

What do you think you would gain with a 1:9 on a rim fire barrel? Not trying to get on your case, just wondering.
Anschutz and other top end makers have done all the work for you when it comes to barrel twist and barrel length testing. Why try to re-invent the wheel?

There are quick twist barrels intended for the Aguila .22lr cartridge with the 60 grain bullet. But as far as I know, that ammunition is not distributed in this country.

I don't know what this poster wants, but 1 in 9" barrel is necessary to stabilize Aguila sss, as the very long bullet tends to tumble.

I have heard the TOZ 17 is 1 in 9" and I know some Nylon 66s are 1 in 9"

One of the custom barrel makers, I think Green Mountain, does a Ruger drop in barrel for SSS, it is probably 1 in 9"
