who makes a 30 carbine these days?

looking for a 30 carbine, who makes em these days? anyone make one which is unrestricted?

My understanding is, the reproductions that have been made are so far below the originals in quality that they're not worth owning. Nothing like Mil-Spec quality. I once had one and it was a piece of junk.
When I handled a couple of real ones, I was very surprised at just what a nice rifle they were...

Get a good original with a shot out barrel and have it rebarreled to 19" seems the best route...although touching a historic piece could be sacrilege and all. Or better yet buy one that's already been done...:dancingbanana:
