who makes a good value range finder?

I bought a Cabelas VLR from SIR last year....seems to work good.
$229. It's a Bushnell product rebranded by Cabela's.
Don't know what kind of yardage you need it for but for deer
5-250 yards works fine for me. :)

I carried a Leica range finder for 6 or 7 years and had great experience with it. I just "upgraded" to the Leica BRF (range finder/binocular combo) Geovid and I feel its the best piece of gear I've bought for a long time. I hate to put it this way, but I love them :D

I got the cheapest bushnell laser rangefinder, the sport 450...

It's never let me down, works great. A little hard to range smaller objects at the longer distances.. Most I have ranged with it is 580 something. You don't get the 1000 yard+ ranging capabilities, but its not like you a really going to take a shot pass 500 yards very often at all, so it works great! I got mine for $120

Any one tried the bushnell's range finders with the ARC feature.

I hunt with a 30 06. May take up the bow again some day.

I had an earlier model Bushnell Scout but gave it too my son and picked up the Bushnell Scout 1000 ARC. The main reason I got this latest model was for the ARC abilities especially for bow hunting. It seems to work well.
