Who offers a complete service for CZ858

Rackman, corrosive ammo and no cleaning are a bad mix. There are still parts of the rifle that will rust if not cleaned and it really doesnt take long. A quick squirt and wipe with your favourite preserving oil (wd-40 etc) after shooting will keep it from rusting on you. Maintenence is key in that respect. I think buying the rifle and getting the things you want done one at a time will be your best bet. Check out Arma-coat, they sell brand new rifles that have been professionally stripped and arma-coated any colour you want. Neit and Broncoo can do the tabbing but it looks like no one offers a treatment for the bore. But like I said, spray a good coating of wd-40 down the bore and wipe the rest down and it will not rust. These are, after all, military rifles modified into sporting rifles.

First off...do some research, I remember a thread on here about a company offering to chrome line the barrels, but they didn't offer the other services I'm looking for. And there are issues, I've owned an 858 before but I sold it because the "tough as nails paint" that someone recently posted about had a chip in it. Also, I want to be able to shoot the rifle and not have to panic about cleaning it as I'm very busy and may not get to it for a few days maybe longer sometimes. Also, if I got a rifle with the gremlin, it WOULD piss me off. I hate having to ship parts to get repaired. I wasn't looking to get into a debate, but for some reason all the replys have been about defending the rifle?????? Why? I asked a simple question, if you do not know the answer, don't reply. The question is...is there a company out there offering to chrome line the barrel, tab the bolt, and deal with the exterior surface? Thanks.

Shoot MFS...non corrosive ammo and still is cheap. Every gun will get dings/chips in it eventually and ALL gun makers sometimes make a lemon...and the "issues" for the CZ is a 2 min problem thats easily fixed for free so chill...

Buy the gun and send it to me...I will make sure its all okay and even duracoat a cool colour for you...for the low price of $250 :p

One Shot Tactical will soon be offering a full upgrade service for the VZ rifle as part of their Neit Arms Line. You'll be able to get all the NEA & Neit Arms goodies that they stock as well as hopefully the tabbing service on a more regular basis. We're working on offering a Arma-Coat refinishing service as well. So short of bore treatments, it'll be a one stop shop.

If you're paying that much for surplus you're getting screwed.

Given that you see brass cased .223 for that price or less now, it's not a bargain at all. Especially since new, non-corrosive Russian 7.62x39 sells for just over $200 in the US.

Where are you getting your ammo that cheap? Plus comparing Canadian prices to american never is really accurate

The .223, you mean? I've seen a couple of dealers/and or threads here with it for $400-420/1000 recently. TSE had it on sale last weekend for $380.

You're right about comparing prices. We get bent over regularly. My whole point was that $450 or more for a thousand MFS is not a bargain or cheap especially if you can get brass cased .223 for less. That's all I was saying.
