Who says lever action's aren't as accurate...

Pull the hammer back before you work the lever to bring a round up out the magazine.
Makes this action slicker'n chit.
The bolt won't have to rock over the hammer.
 
Sounds like sage advice Kam...thanks. If he jumps after the first shot I may or may not remember to do that, :)

But then I probably won't have to worry about the amount of effort needed to chamber another round, adrenaline is amazing stuff!
