Who scooped up the unfired Brownings in the EE this AM ?

Wow, right inbetween my several daily checks of whats been offered and the quite possibly the deal of the year slipped thru this Browningnutz's fingers lol.

Same here went to the city for about two hours with the mrs and came back to see them sold.
I would have been all over them also. But there is no good deals on the EE they keep saying. Ya right. Congrats to the new owner.take care
Is that a factory case one would have come in since I have that case for many years and never knew what was in it originally??

That is a Browning factory optional case known as an "Airways"( MFG ? ). An almost identical case known as the "Hartmann" (MFG ?) That has an insert on the handle lik the lower right case in pic replaced the earlier "Tolex" factory cases. All are collectible, check em out on ebay or the big gun sites like Gunbroker.
They were made model specific for pretty well all the shotguns and rifles Browning sold thru the 50's and 60's including multiple barrel sets.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I have one like your pic and I think there is another like it but takes two single barrels. I will have to try to find it and take a pic. I used it when I shot my super x-1 winchester two barrel set but it was a browning case

Passed on that Superposed 12 although a beauty others in the rack fill that niche.

Yeah, what was the asking price on the BSS ?

I used to have a 12 ga. Pistol grip & Beavertail 26" bbls, shot it well but It weighed to much.
By the end of a days worth of bush busting. I have a 20 ga. Sporter with 26 " bbls, but it just does not love me back, the english stock fit seems to throw me off which is kind weird as I usually never have a problem with any factory pistol gripped shotgun. I friggen love the look of the english stocked SxS's and would like to get into a nice Spanish AYA or similar game gun but unless I figure out why I cant seem to fare well with the Sporter, it may go down the road and I forget english stocked doubles:(
