Who sells .40 S&W?

Hi all,

I'm wondering who sells and ships .40 S&W JHP / Hollow Points?

I've found some FJM's locally but nothing else. One shop even said;

"Handgun ammo is for cops, Department of Natural Resources and Military only, civilians can't own handguns so which one are you?"

Like seriously, this is what I have to deal with out here in NS. The one shop that does sell .40 S&W FMJ said that Hollow Points are illegal in Canada... Welcome to 2008 bud, there ain't a ban on importing them anymore...

I'll be happy to pay shipping rather then deal with these clowns.

You can purchase the speer gold dot bullets in 100rnd boxes and load your own for way cheaper.

Most incorrect. It doesn't matter what you shoot it from - JHP is NOT ILLEGAL. Not in rifle or handgun.

Armour Piercing ammo is illegal in handguns. Not that there is any supply of 5.7mm ammo anyway..
 
Wow... You should work for some of the local shops here, you'd fit right in.

Hollow Point HANDGUN ammo is LEGAL, doesn't matter what you shoot it out of. I've got tons of 9mm, .45 Auto and .357 Magnum Hollow Points here, been shooting it for years. Just acquired a new Glock 22 in .40 S&W and looking for JHP for it.

So yah, no... Doesn't have to be fired from an AR type rifle bud...

Have you tried Sean at Freedom Ventures? Until I started reloading, I purchased my .40 S&W either directly from Wolf or from Sean if I didn't need an even 1,000. I know I've purchased hollow point 9mm from FV but I can't recall if I've purchased .40 S&W hollow point.

They're local, Sean is the AMA pres and if he can't get you some, I don't know who else can.

I'd like to know who told you this.....:confused:

Canadian BDX/ Combat masters out of Alberta sells projectiles and ammunition. However, should you order, I would order a substantial amount (like for the whole season)...small orders of 500-1000 usually do not get top priority.

I'm not looking for many JHP rounds, just ~250. I usually shoot FMJ's but keep other rounds on hand.

Target Sports (a board member, see link at top of page) often has various hollow point ammo, some they sell by the case.
