i am looking for a BERGARA PREMIER SERIES 6.5MM CREEDMOOR BARRELED ACTION or basically and barrelled action advice will be great lol

thanks CGN !!!!!

can buy a 6.5 barreled action from Ultimatum.

Question is, will it feed properly? :stirthepot2:

OP, if buying an Ultimatum barrelled action, you'll need to have chassis/stock modified by a gunsmith for mag height, and you'll need to have mag lips tuned.
You got an extra fat bolt to clear and if not set up properly, a big jump over a feedramp, making for clunky feeding, and inducing a good amount of runout.

Myself I quit the Ultimatum idea and went Bighorn Origin instead, which really rocks, your experience may differ.

best option right now IMO, new product, proudly canadian made, reasonably priced and Tikka T3/T3X footprint, in conclusion very promising !

Are you speaking of the deadline?
Mine had a wannabe R700 footprint, almost fits generic R700 stocks.

Because they went with that oversized bolt, which doesn't solve any problems that's exists and induces a new set of problems. Same deal as Curtis Customs. Some of the design decisions they make really make me go WTF??

Anyways, the DeFacto sounds like a good deal. Not sure if any are out in the wild yet, and I hate testing version 1 products. I would wait and see on how it's performing for other people before jumping in, unless you don't mind being some sort of beta tester.

Any gunsmith should be able to get you hooked up on a barreled action. What is your price range and what is your intended use?

I had not seen the defacto on their site, as I went before posting looking for a Tikka footprint action.
One thing is sure, I will look closely but I will not be an early adopter!

DEFACTO BARRELED ACTION looks to be an amazing setup... Does it fit the MDT Tikka stocks ? with zero mods lol..

It's a Tikka T3 inlet but requires mods to stocks and chassis inletted for Tikka T3's to fit due to the R700 trigger and safety. So you either need a gunsmith to work on it (or yourself if you have the tools and know-how), or wait for a DeFacto specific inlet come out.

Maybe one day Ultimatum will make a straight drop in designed action...

I don't think the inlet for the Rem 700 trigger is a big deal, should be a very minor modification.
Personaly, I would take the stock at a Gunsmith to have it done nicely.

It's not a big deal, but it's annoying, especially when they could've designed the action in such a way that it could've been completely avoided.

Irregardless, it's not my company to run. But that will certainly be preventing a few people from spending money on one.

For me its not annoying.

Remington 700's have by far the most trigger options so for me its a pro.

I think its a very reasonably priced barreled action I wouldn't mind to pay, lets say around a hundred bucks for this mod.

Its a new product so it haven't made his proof but its a great option.

For some guys like myself it is annoying.
Most great gunsmiths are out west, and shipping a full rifle system for stuff that wouldn’t happen with any other company is an annoyance.

I do get that it’s no big deal to some,
But I sure hope they (ultimatum) realize it’s deal breakers for others.

When we are recommending products to new guys (presuming here), if we steer them on to something that will give them fitting problems they may be pooped out to the idea of doing another semi custom ever again.
I know my ride with a Deadline was a bumpy one, and saw the light again once I got back to a true drop in action (bighorn origin)

Most people want the "easy button". A setup that drops in with no surprises. There's a lot of options out these days that accommodate that - that's what consumers want and the market is catering to that desire.

That's why it boggles my mind when Ultimatum decides to ignore the current market trends and goes their own route. Some people will be more then happy to buy their products, and good for them. But they are certainly losing out on some sales to their competitors, who are making their products more and more universally friendly from the end user perspective.

The DeFacto is a great price, and they will get sales on that virtue alone. If they made it more of a straight drop in friendly action, I believe they would see an exponential increase in sales. I'm just baffled by some of the design decisions they make.

What's your price range, and what are you going to be using it for?

If you could afford it, something like a barreled Kelbly Atlas, Bighorn Origin or Defiance Tenacity would be really nice.

I know my experience is limited to R700s, Savage 10s, Ultimatum Deadline, and Bighorn Origin.
Bighorn Origin is such a nice action, already tried it in a manners mini chassis stock, MDT ESS stock, Factory R700 trigger, Trigger tech diamond trigger, magpul pmags, MDt 12 round mags, accurate mags 5 round mags... had the chance to test fit it with a few components already.
That action is so plug and play, and has so many nice features for its price point, I am definitely sold on it.

Rocco, if your game buy a Savage prefit receiver and barrel that action yourself.
It will open customisation possibilities, as in barrel length, profile, caliber, twist... the options are endless.

If you were close to my place I would of gladly offered my garage and tools to get it done, in normal times when neighbours don't call the cops on each other that is.

PGW has a new barrelled action line now in production which includes 6.5 Creedmoor which takes AI mags, R700SA footprint. Haven't seen but have on order as confidence is high.
