I can't find a dealer for IOR scopes in Canada. Looking for a Recon or Crusader, and I'm going nuts here. Anyone know a dealer?

https://www.cssoptics.com Is the only one I could find that sells them, although their stock is limited. There was a thread on CGN from years back (around 2009) from Canadaammo saying they were going to import them but ended up not.

For what it's worth, I just picked up a used 2-12x32 today. Built like a tank, and am excited to put it through its paces, although from strictly a warranty perspective you may want to consider different options. Valdada (IOR's US importer) will be zero help to Canadian customers and the limited presence in Canada make me wonder how much pain you'd have to go through getting a replacement scope. Since they ship back to factory in Romania for repair, my guess is you'd be better part of 6 months+ if you ever needed a warranty repair. May be better off buying something out of the US (Leupold, Nightforce, USO, etc.)

My $0.02.

I tried to contact them a long time ago. Called few times, sent email inquiries, nothing ... Still waiting for a response :) With such "customer service", I wouldn't consider IOR scopes at all. Buying is one thing, but what if you need a service, repairs or a warranty support? There are other brands available in Canada with excellent customer service and excellent products. Contact Omer from Precision Optics and he will help you with your needs.

I have a US address, warranty won't be an issue, hell, if there is a US supplyer I'll take that too. Needs to be a crusader, or a recon tho.

I read on the Valdada website that they only warranty scopes with serial numbers they've imported. Ie if you buy a used scope in Canada or manage to find a retailer in Canada who has was you're looking for in stock then know that you won't be able to bring it across the border and have it fixed through valdada.

Not trying to discourage you from buying one. They're great scopes with some of the best glass in the world... same factory in Germany as kahles and s&ab.
