Those are Stripped Lower prices. But, it still holds true. Stag has the lowest prices for AR15 rifles in the market. Bought one Friday for $455 + Tax + Postage ~ $510 to me.

^maybe the M4 has the milspec buffer tube? Maybe the other one is the slightly smaller OD non milspec version?

what is the difference between the 6-Position Carbine Stock & the 6-Position M4 Stock?

The collapsing stock is a bit different. I say ditch both and get Magpul CTR. Solid lock up on the magpul.

Nope. The difference is the buttstock only. One is the old style like on the CAR15 and C8 etc, and one is the new M4 style. They use only milspec buffer tubes.

That said, only the new M4 'waffle' style one is currently available.

Cheers,

Stripped and LPK

I went with a stripped lower and a Lower Parts Kit. Then tossed on a Magpul stock.

Do yourself a favour and save a few bucks (that you're gonna spend on guns anyway :D) and put the lower together yourself...

It's NOT a complicated assembly, and the intructions withthe Stag LPK are easy to follow.

Roll pins are a ##### though.

Any tips on getting the roll pins out? I'm stripping my reciever to refinish it and I've got it all apart except the bolt release roll pin and the forward assist... I've decided I hate roll pins.

Hungry here: Start with a selection of roll pin punches (double up if you can, I broke one or 2 this way), then use masking tape (double layer is better) in front of the pin and on the other side, to prevent scratching of the exterior surface. I've started from the front and tapped the pin backwards/rearwards. I've even duct taped the assembly down to prevent the "Sproing...." effect of flying pins and springs. Your mileage will vary.

Man, if you think this is hard, wait until you gotta remove your bolt hold open device on an M14. Any M1A or M14 is a super Biatch...
