Who uses a 25-06 Rem?

Anyone seen a leftie bolt in 25-06? Savage would be an ideal choice cuz my 30-06 beats me up. I have a 308 that is a little easier to take. How would the 25 stack up against these? Like to try one before I think about second stringing the 30cals.

Backwards people.

Ted's suggestion is a good one if you already own a Savage. I'll be checkong out a Savage in the near future.

I'm currently having a LH M70 re-barreled to the quarter ouhgt six, not as economical as the Savage option.

I shoot a LH M77 MII in 25-06. A good option, IMO. Ruger is one of the only companies that puts 24" tubes on their .25........

Not a lot to choose from the Factories. Tikka, Savage, or Ruger. Or the ultimate solution for backwards people, build one.

my .02$ I love the 25-06 I used the 120gr & was very acc. The 117 hp that some like I found to blow up on the hide. They were directly responsable for my lost in confidence in the rifle. I have shot from moose on down with it. The 25-06 is very hard on coyote fur though, and 100 gr bullets will eat a fair bit of deer meat. But that said they do kill well.

Yep, Stevens 200! You can buy one brand new for less than $380 shipped, spend an equal amount on a good scope, and be in the 25 cal business.

Another $250 and you can be shooting it in Ackley Improved, with Redding dies included. :)

Great cartridge....one of the best for my moose deer hunting...and I have several. I love the 100 tsx and 100 horn sp. My latest 25-06, a model 700, seems to like the 117 sst but have only just begun to play with it. Very light recoil and all 3 of mine are sub 1" at 100yrds. Whats not to like. I have shot several moose and deer with the tsx.
