Who uses an ice shelter for hunt camp?

Just weighing out the options for hunting accomoadations this fall. I usually bring my generator and run electric heat whenever I can, so is there any reason a guy couldn't use an ice shelter? It's 6x12, insulated and sets up in a jiffy. I'd probably try and keep it a long ways away from the fire. I imagine you'd probably want to tarp it up if you get some heavy rain.

Is there any negatives?

why not?
i'm assuming you want to use it as a sleeping cabin? if it's big enuff there's no reason why not..... it's really just another version of a tent.

The kids have used ours as a tent during the summer. Worked well and super easy for them to setup and take down.

I'd say go for it! If it suits your needs, then it's definitely a viable option. I've used our horse trailer with living quarters for hauling bikes to the racetrack and going trail riding. I might get a few strange looks but it works great and I'm comfortable in my air conditioned trailer.

I use my pop up ground blind as an outhouse when Im camping out. Keeps your business private when others are around and more importantly, it keeps the mosquitos off the ball sack...

Talked about it multiple times, but yet to use it for camping. I'm sure it will be used as such in the future. As previously stated you can't beat the set up time!

Good idea. At the price of an ice shelter, you'd be foolish not to use it as much as possible.
