Wholesale leather On VanIsle?

Looking into making a frontier-style leather shirt. Can't find any wholesalers on the island, but perhaps someone here knows of one? Please let me know! Thanks

Leather World in Victoria on Yates carries the chrome tanned hide which is most often used nowadays. They are a retail shop and also an outlet for Tandy Leather. I'm not sure if there is any wholesale leather place up island like in Nanaimo, nothing down here other than Leather World that I'm aware of. To get smoke tanned (which is the original style of tanning in North America that was used before the industrial age) in a large enough quantity to make a shirt, you will probably have to find people who still make it, not sure if anyone does it on the Island.
