So I was browsing the wholesale sports website and found a sale on some underarmor base layers for $33, great deal right? So I go to the store and ask the lady to do a price check and she says the pants are on sale but the shirt is not...

So I go to the lady working in clothing(who was really nice and helpful) and ask her what the deal is. She says that some of the things are online only sales.

I say to her "It does not say anywhere here that they are online only..."

She says "Yea, I know but we won't match the online store"

I am being polite not going to be a ####, right? Then say that because of the online thing I would just go somewhere else, no biggie.

Then she says "Oh we can price match them if its the same thing"

Why would they price match a competitor but not themselves!?!?

Anyone else have this happen. Am I missing something?

Actually I generally am not the kind of guy to lose it on an employee so I bought the pants anyways but still missed out on the shirt.

This will probably be the last time I visit them.

I went through a similar thing with them...they had 2 firearms I wanted to buy on sale....Iwas working in camp so I called the store in my area ..they didn't have them in stock. Suggested online but they were not available online. Called every store.. went from being cut-off to no real answers to call this guy, that guy etc. Finally talked to a person in Regina who said they had them in stock, at the price..... AWESOME could you send them to me. No we can't. Really? Why not ...because we don't ship. OK then let me speak to the manager. Manager says they don't ship because the shipping charges would bite into their profit....Really lots of mom and pop's have free or reduced shipping. WE don't. There must be a solution. Well we will ship to another store for you to pick up but you will have to pay the shipping AND get the local store to agree to receive them. WOW!! Anyway I said fine I will call the store and get back to you with the details. Called the local store..they refused to receive them because they were not bought from the store and it would affect their store sales...excuse me?? How will it affect your sales...because the guns were bought at another store and we won't receive credit for the purchase. Fine then you won't have any sales at any store by me ever again..AND I will tell every one not to support WS. The answer was I don't care I get paid by the hour anyway. UN@#$#@&** believable. So here I am telling the story and suggesting people not to support them....Oh yeah, I wrote head office with the similar thrust of the story and like all good corporate companies have not received anything in reply. Am I surprised????

Wow, yea that place I have seen less and less people at the store in calgary since cabelas opened up. I have also heard lots of bad experiences on another forum about wholesale sports.. no wonder

Had a very similar experience with Cabelas. Kept climbing the phone ladder until I found a person with authority enough to sell me the rifle. Annoying but worked out.

these would be more relevant if we where in a volunteer FF forum or an Oil Rigs forum, but we are in a firearms/shooting and hunting forum.
There fore sitting around a cook/campfire would they not be ideal places to wear that AU stuff.

If you are OK with the "stink factor" of polyester, don't waste your money on UA.

Go to SuperStore and buy the Joe Fresh base layers. They are exactly the same thing and cost like $6 each. Keeps me warm even when I get sweaty/damp and dries out quickly if you remove other layers.

They work great for me for day trips and even overnighters. For extended trips without showers, I have a single set of merino to keep the stink down.

Regarding WS; it has been hit and miss for me...
