Well, that'll teach me.

I tried to go cheap, and bought a used Redfield Revolution from the EE.

1) Painted, not anodized. I can scratch the finish with my fingernail. I happen to know that Anodizing is now *less expensive* than painting. Why?!?

2) Tightening the (Warne) rings to 66% of the specified torque freezes the power ring on the scope, as in it can no longer be turned. It's going on a long gun, so there is no room to move the scope forward.

Darnit.

Contact Korth Group. The Redfield scopes carry good warranty(similar to Leupold) and this sounds like something they can address (not the finish). Phil.
