I haven’t been out for pheasant ever, lol, but I’ve been out mostly trying to get my dog trained up a bit better. He’ll stop and point/stalk when he sees birds, but he mostly gets on the scent trail and bumps them before he realizes what’s going on. I brought him up north where the trees are more open to try and work with him on a leash, but his nose takes over really quick. He doesn’t really see them unless they move. We just have to tie the two together some how.

Try using a check cord!
