Who's carrying aftermarket Savage triggers to replace accutrigger?

ive ordered from SSS before

they are the best with ANYTHING savage

super professional too. The package came with several printed out customs documents in it with specific parts hand highlighted just in case some tard at the border was screening it and didnt know whether it was legal or not to let it through LOL

They know their stuff and I would not hesitate to order from them again in the future...in fact i may be in the market for a trigger too

wanna go in together and share shipping?

SSS was caught by the Feds doing illegal exports. They are on the black list and they will not export anymore.

There are some US manf that ship internationally.

how many can do so legally?

If it is gun related and you have not filled in the proper paperworks and received your license/cert, then no.

Buyer beware....US customs doesn't offer refunds and have a nasty habit of creating 'lists'.

Replacement springs used to be available to bring the trigger weight down, alternatively you could cut it BUT be careful if you cut off too much your trigger won't reset. You cut from the end where the little bent up tit is then you remake the bend, maybe 1-1.5 coils. I would keep the accutrigger over most of the savage repalcements anyway. The RB sav-2 is alright the others are not much better then the old savage 3 screw triggers.

X2. There ain't a lot of difference (read improvements) bewtween the basic accutrigger, Sharp shooter supply trigger and the Timney triggers IMHO. Some difference but likely down to personal preference in most cases.

Never had the Sav-2 so that is where I would go next but I find the accu trigger OK.

I have the RifleBasix Sav-2 replacement trigger, and down to 4 oz. or so, not quite a Jewel but next best thing, much better then the accutrigger. IMHO I just phoned them up and ordered it.

Nice thing about the Savage Target accutrigger, if the sear slips when cocking, or heavy handling, and the little red lever is not held back by a finger or something else, the rifle will not fire. If set too light, the sear may drop on cocking, and I find 8 oz about the limit for reliability.

The RB Sav-2 does not have this safety feature. If the sear slips on cocking or heavy handling, you are going to get a discharge that really isn't accidental. You adjusted it too light.

On my two triggers I feel 10oz is the limit. With anything less, I can bump the butt hard 3 times, or slam the bolt several times and get the sear to drop.

RB claims 2-4oz minimum. Not with my examples.

And then savage will have law suits against them like remington?? I personally like the safety aspect of the accutrigger

There is a very good chance that all commercial triggers will have some form of 'interruptor' pending how bad the Rem situation gets. the accutrigger allows Savage alot of leeway in trigger pulls without risk of suits.

That is a huge marketing advantage.

Marlin (ie Rems second cousin) has followed with many Savage features in their XR series. Seems to have been working very well for them.

Most consumers are against 5 to 8lbs trigger pulls but the lawyers have sway with the boardroom.

Unfortunately, Rem's forray into customer adjustable triggers isn't going so well but that will get resolved.

the trigger block is so simple, cheap to produce and implement.

Like modern pistols, we will see many more trigger safeties in the coming years.
