Just curious if anyone has the Archimedes action and what they think about it. I'm looking to add another action for a build and this one has been on my radar for a while. If you have one, I'd like to know how it compares to any other customs. Bolt lift? #### on close? Smoothness? I'm running a bighorn origin, bighorn TL3 and an ultimatum deadline. I had 2 nucleus actions before. Thanks for any feedback.

Browsing here or another forum I have seen some replies from Ted concerning certain actions being discontinued due to the "coup de grace" being launched. Judging from the posts it was most likely the Archimedes that would be discontinued. Something to keep in mind.
Have one. Also have a CDG on the way. They’re my favourite actions. Like them better than my Nuke 2.0 although I love my Nuke as well. I recently got a 223BF so I’ll dedicated it to a 223 rem match chamber for the 80 eldm and Berger 80.5 loaded at 2.535” coal. If running AICS or long action, Archmedes is fine but CDG is better for AW mags and the trigger hanger is a great idea. Probably do a 6.5 creed for the CDG and down the road most likely a 22GT since they feed from AW without modifying the mags. Definitely better than the ultimatum. Terminus on the other hand ... that’s a fine action.
It's funny this thread was dug up from so long ago. I never got an Archimedes. I run an origin, tl3 and a deadline. I had a nuke 1.1 in long and short action. I'm currently planning a short barrel 308 build and I'm considering the nuke 2.0 or another Origin. If a deal came up on the EE for an Archimedes I'd consider one. I handled one at GBG in vernon. It didn't have a trigger and wasn't in a stock so I couldn't really get a feel for it.
