It's nice to see guys having some success so far this fall. Who's tagged out so far? I was lucky enough to get a 5X6 bull elk last month, my first. Who else's freezer is full? :D

My neighbor and I had some friends out from BC for the AB opener last week. We now have 6 deer hanging (4 now -two have been processed) and he tagged out on his bull moose last month. Still have our general whitetail tags and a cow elk tag left.

TAGGED OUT?? ......... I haven't even BEEN OUT with a rifle yet.

Got roped into a refinery shut down. I just worked 4 weeks straight, 12hr nights.

I'm told. Sunday will be my last night and next week is the last of the 4wk season.

.

got my moose on day 2

got a few deer tags to fill still

but I got to work sometime, next bush day is monday

but this is good as the deer were not in the rut last week so perhaps next week will be good deer hunting.

Oh and I saw 9 moose in the 5 days I was in the bush :D

Got my bull moose on day two of the season (last Friday), still have to get a whitetail. I learned that you should not shoot a moose when hunting alone, it is a lot of work!! But sooooo worth it.

i tagged out:redface: but the opposite way..
i just tossed out of my wallet into the trash.
1 moose tag
1 turkey tag

still hoping to fill deer and bear tag

1 moose

I shot at my first deer this year, and I hate to say it is the big one that got away, but it was.

I counted about 6 points on each side before i pulled the trigger. Knocked him down in his tracks. Then he got up and bolted into the woods 4-5 seconds after.

Tracked pools of blood for about a KM. When i say pools I am talking more then 2 hand spams wide. After about a KM it turned to drops, and then pin drops. Lost the trail after 4 hrs of tracking by myself and 5 of my group members.

The big one that got away.

I got a small buck at last light on Monday (Nov 5th).

My brother got a 8-pointer on Tuesday morning.

So we're done. The weather was cold and the deer were moving.

WMU 59.

Nice one in the freezer in BP season so one left to fill. A nice fat doe will fill the ticket or a good young buck. I'm back at it Mon and tuesday. The weather is getting too cold for me and its time to " git er done !!!! " Buddy wants a wall hanger so he can shoot that if we find one. For me I like sausage better than horns:D

Just came in from the bush and our final tally was 9 bucks and 5 does, not bad for a weeks work by 10 guys. We are in a shotgun only area but one plus is there are lots of tags, the biggest 4 bucks were all 9 pointers mine was the biggest but all were good bucks. I will take some pics tomorrow and start a new thread with the pics if I can figure out how to post them.

Not tagged out, but had a great day today. Pardner shot a 6x6 bull elk, it was legal but probably the smallest 6x6 I've ever seen. Here we are back at the trucks with the horses packing in the meat. We didn't have the camera at the kill site, I'd forgoten it in the truck this morning. But we made good on the "whiskey by 11" tradition.

still unable to shoot my crossbow but im hoping to get out next month when my wrist is better. its going to be a learning experience trying to tag a decent buck starting so late in the season...

Got both my antlerless mulies Saturday morning. :) My hunting partner got one more of her tags filled too, with her antlerless white tail.

I could get another whitetail buck tag, but the family is running out of freezer room, for all the deer we've gotten this year so far (4 ready for butchering currently, with another 1 to 3 on the way from friends who trophy hunt).

:runaway: I know what your talking about. Got mine in a big swamp, near last light, gutting in the dark, by myself, no trees to tie the legs to. Had to use the quad for that, then you cnat use the quad headlights, had to use the little crank up emergency LED light. 2 hours of messing about in the dark to get it out to the cutline.

and 3 days later 2 bulls on the side ot the trail 500m from camp, and just browsing away with me 25yds away. Watched them for about 30 min

but got to shoot them when you see them

Been out about a dozen times with the crossbow and 8 days with rifle and still have this damn buck tag. I have till December 31st to get a buck or I'm going to have to find a taxidermist to mount my tag. lmao
