Why are so many MRA Renegades quickly put on the EE?

Hey all,

I was thinking of buying a Renegade to use all my spare AR parts on, but I've noticed MANY Renegades popping up on the EE with reportedly low round counts...

Is it just because people bought them trying to scratch that AR itch and it didn't quite suffice or what?

Haven't seen as many SBI LPCs... Maybe there are fewer in the field?

Thanks

My guess is its the best way to get rid of a bunch of AR parts without much hassle

Or they aren't fans of the straight pull design? I'm not head-over-heels in love with my dads renegade as there are some questionable design choices, but all in all its nice

I bought mine to fill the AR itch and it doesn't quite do it. the Tavor does a better job there. However I have played around with it and it will fill a whole new itch. it is a sweet little farm gun. Mine is a 12.6" barrel 300 blk and is 2" over the NR OAL required. it points well and shoots fine. good for the tractor thumping problem creatures around the farm where longer bolt / lever guns are harder to hold in tractor cab and the detachable magazine is nice as well. keep different loads in the glove box for different sized creatures.

Haven't you been here too long for this kind of questin?

Same with Tavors, same with WK 180s, same with SLRs, MV MSRs etc etc

If I had to guess, I'd say it's people trying it, because why not, they've got most of the parts on hand. Then finding that jerking off your AR isn't as fun as it could be, why not recoup some of the potentially lost value of the AR they just stripped down.

I got a Renegade receiver set when they first started shipping. Haven't even built it. I took a look at it and realized it does nothing for me. I'd rather keep shooting my semi autos.

Look at all the type 81 LMG..all people trying to make a buck over what they are selling for, from dealers. Far more in the EE than Renegade.

i took a quick look at the ee when this thread popped and did not see very many renegades for sale..... 3 listing came up and 2 were already sold.
type in LMG or 180 or sks and by comparison , people most certainly are not dumping the renegade

I am curious as to real user feedback on the renegades and mavericks and honest reviews from those who have built them and actually shot them at targets or critters.
I just need a short lightweight rig for treestand hunting and have a bunch of premium parts I could build a Maverick with.

There have been 3 or 4 the last few days, and yes, they've gone quick. I was thinking it'd make a handy coyote or deer gun (b/c we can use .223 for deer here in BC). Could even build it up in x39, .300blk or 6.8 to make it more broad in application.

Hunting is probably where these guns shine the most.

Bear in mind that even before the ban, nobody was allowed to hunt with an AR-15.

My only guess is that people wanted an AR-style rifle but couldn't get used to a manual action. Either that, or it was bought, played around with for a bit and then sold to help fund another purchase, as is common.

Would be nice to have a use for all the 6.8 SPC and 300 BLK I loaded up for my AR's.

Had a Vet bill I had to take care of, that's why I sold mine. I had a nice set of fixed irons on it, well a nice rear, and a cheap front that was great for its $20 price. Had a decent 16" Barrel and a Geissele G2S, shot pretty much as well as my Colt HBAR. That said, stick with cases with similar geometry to the 308 Win. I had a 6.5 Grendel Barrel on it, shot well but it was a chore to work the action. You had to deliberately cycle the round from ejection to locked chamber. 223 was flawless, pull the charging handle to the rear and let it fly.

I have a Renegade with a second upper.

Hunting upper is a 10.5" .300blk. I have around 1000 rounds through it now and it has run flawlessly.

The target upper is an 18.6" .223 wylde. Maybe 500 rounds, if that?

It has run flawlessly from the get go. Machining is.quite nice, finish is decent. I hate, HATE that it doesnt have a bolt catch.

I love my renegade 12.5 inch barrel. It started to have feeding problems and it turned out be the magazine and feeds great now.The gun is compact and accurate I did have to replace the trigger with trigger tech.

I love mine, I am a semi guy but really enjoy shooting this, The first couple dozen rounds were hard to extract and then that changed after about 30 - 40 rounds, They hold nice, I put on an IBI barrel and the accuracy was fantastic. I am considering buying the Maverick and tearing down my BCL102, just waiting for a sale

I was intrigued and wanted to support a novel Canadian product.

Once I built it, out of what I own it was not a better gun at anything other than looking kinda cool. I didn’t complete my LPC preorders as I felt the way they handled them sucked and better to effectively make a small donation than buy more guns I expected not to like.
