I think now the market is begging for more firearms that shoot the round. If some companies scaled up the 22lr firearms to handle the amount of pressure etc it's become a real big thing. Some people want to shoot something between 22lr and 9mm and 380 ammo n firearms may be as common as 22wmr since most for us were prohibited in the 90s.
There are also reasons known only to Canadians that a semi auto rimfire firing 22 mag should be mag fed. High capacity mags would be selling like hot cakes
