Ever since switching to 1-4 or 1-6 scopes with red dot, I haven't been so fond of my x1 fixed RDS. I like the reticle for most cases, and the red dot just as a backup in low-light conditions. I also find that these variable red dots have a dot that is very round and precise, but the Aimpoint "dots" are not perfectly round, and are in fact diagonal lines under magnification.
Anyway, my point is: why doesn't anyone make a fixed x1 optic with a reticle AND a red dot? That way if the red dot fails, you have a reticle at least!
I'm thinking of something that's basically a Bushnell TRS-25, except with a reticle and a red dot priced under $200.
