I live around more flat land than any gun can out shoot. My spot is just out side but i feel for yas. I lived in the city once and had to do the 2h drive. Its a killer on the sport. even when you go out, finding a place to do 1000+ with no hassle... thats the hassle.
if you want it, at some point you will find this land however. when you do you will find 1000+ yards pretty cool but after a while its not that far. 1400y is a strech for most all guns. but even that, once you have done it your there. The crapy thing as odd is the fact there are limited targets on the net to compare to.

Thats why im pushing this .22 thing from the rimfire section. I figure even the most heavy internet shooter could get out close to the city with a .22 and shoot. Print a target, shoot it, post it, instantly join the fun of competitave shooting.
I have a wife and a carburated V8. I live 3 hours from anywhere. im not driving all over the provance to shoot. could never afford it and enjoy it.
