Why has the Norinco M305 welded flash suppressers?

What is the reason why Flash suppressor is welded? should not those who import guns into Canada be able to order them without solid welded flash suppressers.
 
They were welded, and the bayonet lugs were deleted to comply with US import requirements. Then Bill Clinton blocked further imports. This tells you when these barrels were made.
 
Trust me... Navyshooter , the master has taught me how to remove the flash suppressors really quickly. I just took my Poly flash suppressor off inside 5 minutes. I was amazed. We removed about 8 of them at the Halifax Clinic last weekend! What a hoot! :D
 
Please do tell Hungry (M14 GOD) i drilled my two spot welds and made the mistake of drill out the roll pin in the front holding in the front Sight now i can't turn the castle nut

The process was so simple that I couldn't believe it.
