Why is buckshot more than birdshot?

It has to do with the production volumes, more birdshot is used per year then buckshot. If your mass producing birdshot stopping and readjusting to produce a small amount of buckshot costs lots of money.

The paper cup is larger and more expensive. More hot water is used and therefore more energy to boil replacement water.

The bird shot vs buckshot is probably just money-making but I do not know for sure, just my guess.

Those differences are measured in tenths of a cent, not near enough to justify a 40% price increase.......but nice try ;)
