Why is my SKS Bolt Carrier Black not silver ?

jsut like the title says, it' says is from 1950. ive not seen another with black, only silver. thanks for your help!

Usually the black painted sks were refurbished few times when they were in service. as far I have seen all have chrommed bore, chamber as well as the gas port. This is why it lasted so long to be painted and refurbished so many times. I have 2 like this personally and they all shoot as well as any other SKS.
 
As mentioned, it's part of the refurbishment process for some rifles. Generally black bolt SKS's will be more used than others that aren't. I'm sure it'll still perform and shoot the same though.

ooh yeah it's pretty damn accurate too, dook a deer down with iron sights, @ 100 yards, and it was my second time firing the gun, the first was the day before i ran 5rounds through it.
