why not .243

nice truck

looks like a ford ranger

It was a 55 gal dum.

I would NEVER own a Ford. ;)

How much hold over at 1700? Just curious. The .243, in any bullet weight, drops like a brick past 300.

52 MOA from a 200yd zero. That was with 95gr Berger VLD.

The 243 is faster, flatter and has more energy than a typical 308 Win from muzzle to any distance you care to shoot.

lol i wasn't talking about the target. i was taking abou the reflection in your scope lol. oo was i right? Jimmy or blazer? or a 1/2 tone with a topper. And while i would never own a ford they could make good targets....

126 gr 6MM BULLET

When someone creates a 124gr ULD, the 243 will be all the rage.

I have tried the 126 gr CHINCHAGA TARGET BULLET, and they shoot well in a 243 ackley, MV2950. Dale uses them in 243WSSM.

I have tried them, but they are shaped like a polaris missile with their really long beraring surface, and you need a ridiculous amount of freebore. I never got accuracy with them, so I abandoned them before I tried avaluating what their BC is. I don't think it is very high; my impression was that while they are heavy, they are not a very low drag design.

Now... The REST of Chinhaga bullets are really good! They have the ultimate bullet for users of 6.5x47 Lapua.
