Why not a 325 WSM??

BIGREDD why would you shoot any bullet weights under 220gr. defeats the purpose of having that cal. you could just own a 300WSM with far better ballistics, and a lightweight rifle is going to recoil about the same as a 338 WM in standard weight,i know someone who has a Win. featherweight in 325WSM and i have shot it with 200 gr.and it is about the same as my Rem.700 in 338WM with 225 with less velocity and energy respectively, like i said i almost bought one but the 338WM is a better big game gun when it comes to hunting in bear country hands down that is why i bought one instead. If someone wants a lighter gun then get a 325WSM but other than that buy a 338WM.IMO.

I get what you are saying ... I believe that a 200 grain bullet will do the job on big bears... and I think you answered your own question.
If you want a lighter, shorter, faster gun that performs as well as a .338WM then get a .325WSM.;)

I remember all the same arguments from the nay-sayers about the 270WSM and the 300WSM.
Who out there owns a 325WSM? Who out there has handloaded and ran test loads over a chrony? The only ones I have heard of are the factory tests and the writers who concur that the published ballistics are factual.
Lets give the nay-saying a name shall we....call it what it is.... speculation.;)
