Why not make a BA Pistol carbine?

I escapes me why Malin or Savage does market a economic BA carbine in .45..40 +9mm that takes colt pistol mags.Throw in duel extractors and an integral weaver or Pictanny base and an 18.5" barrel.........................................Harold

I am with you on that! But lets not forget .45 LC and .357Mag/.38 Special. Marlin's camp carbines are no longer made and were restricted in this country due to barrel length (I once owned a 9mm Camp Carbine). Ruger makes the bolt action 77/44 but that's about it for bolt actions. If the Spanish destroyer carbine was chambered in the popular 9mm Luger rather than 9mm Bergmann/Bayard I would be interested.
