Why is it with so many M14/305 shooters in here and Canada is it so hard, or should I say imposible to find anyone importing or distributing the Sage EBR stocks or the Troy industries SOPMOD II with Rail stocks in Canada? I can't be the only one looking for these am I?

or rather the export paperwork is delaying the arrival to meet present demands....dealers have to put through all the paperwork to get the stuff across the border from the US...it unfortunately takes time....

Would be nice to forget about jumping through the hoops buying from the states and get stuff from some other country. Their new export laws and border nazi's are a crock.

I am ordering one of those stocks

Well, I called 50BMGStore today regarding said stock. The salesman tells me this will NOT fit a Norinco or a Polytech because the trigger groups are very different. It will only fit a Milspec M1A. Then I got the bolt is crap in a Norinco speech, I retorted that it is a shame they can't get inexpensive forged receivers down there!

So, what is the big difference between a Norc trigger group and a "Mil spec" M1A? (Isn't a milspec M1A called a M14?)

He is full of crap.

The trigger groups are the same specs as USGI trigger groups. The only difference would be a little nub ground off the is required for select fire.

The only other difference would be the op rod spring guide retaining pin.

Plus M1As are NOT milspec.

The guy there is a Numpty F**k!!!

Thanks SB... that's all I needed to know!

If you call this guy back, ask him how come a Norinco reciever with the stock Norinco trigger group will fit in all other M-14/M1A stocks (Sage,Boyds,USGI, etc) with no problems?????

I would love to hear his answer.........;)

Outside of some of the GI stocks that I have seen that Skulboy and others here have personalized that unit is the only one that I like. I will have to drop by the west texas armory and fondle one. That is once I get my truck back from the bodyshop and get another load to Midland (Lubbock is on the way).
