Because AR's are a fun to shoot, a rimfire twin to your competition rifle is a great practice/trainer gun and .22LR is a lot cheaper than .223 ammo.

Maybe it's just my imagine, but why are so many companies selling .22LR AR-like rifles?
Ding, we have a winner.
Anyone know where to find a dedicated AR upper with a 1:14 or 1:16 barrel (or whatever twist .22LR is)? I don't imagine I'd get stellar accuracy out of a 1:7 twist barrel.
