Nothing wrong with corrosive ammo. Just poor some hot water down the bore and rinse off the bolt and/or gas system right after your done shooting, then do your regular clean and oil. Never a corrosion problem in my M14 or any bolt action I've owned.
Now, shipping costs. I'm in that business and everyone better get ready for price increases forever. The high cost of fuel, maintenance and just rigorous regulations are soaring. Who is going to cover the cost? You got it, the consumer, you! It's supply and demand. You want it, you got to pay for it.
Now that we know China has to ship to the east coast, there in lies the problem. Costs more to do that. I understand the plight of the suppliers and concerns of the consumer, but it looks like Europe will be the easier road for some time. For decades I remember the Chinese ammo being limited in availability. The Czech and Sellier & Bellot ammo was always on hand and mostly the cheaper and yes some corrosive ammo bundled together.
I don't see much changing anytime soon.
